Assistant Regional Director

Dr. Mohd Abdullah is working as Assistant Regional Director at IGNOU Regional Centre Srinagar since 28th February 2024. He has his Schooling from JNV Poonch, B.A from GDC Poonch (University of Jammu), Post Graduation from Central University of Kashmir Ganderbal, (J&K) and Ph.D. from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow (U.P). He has the UGC – NET in the subject of Economics and he also availing Research Fellowship of MANF-MS, his fields of interest are Developmental Economics, Rural Development, and Economics of Discrimination. He also qualified CTET both papers. Prior to join IGNOU He also worked As PGT Economics at JNV Thrissur, Kerala and JNV Bhilwara, Rajasthan. Dr. Abdullah currently at IGNOU Regional Centre Srinagar look-after and manage various aspects of the student support services for Admissions, Assignments, SLM, Submission of projects and conduct of viva voce for various programmes, Monitoring of Counselling sessions, Practical sessions at LSCs, Monitoring of TEE more than 35 examination centres across Kashmir valley and UT of Ladakh, and coordinating with study centres for strengthening the system as a whole in terms of education provision.
